Patrick has dedicated his life (or most of it) to seeking the truth about diet, exercise, and health. He has a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry and Physiology in addition to the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) certification. Currently Patrick is researching the various impacts of low and high carbohydrate dieting on various metabolic factors, in both elite athletes and overweight/obese populations at the University of Connecticut with Dr. Jeff Volek. He worked as the Rutgers University Football Team Nutritionist for 4 full seasons in addition to consulting with various NFL players, military, and other elite athletes. He provides counseling services to individuals seeking to alter body composition (lose fat and/or gain muscle) and those simply looking to improve their diet/lifestyle. The point of this blog is for Patrick to write about diet and exercise as they pertain to energy metabolism (aka fat or carb burning), energy balance (weight maintenance, weight loss, weight gain), and health.  He also looks to blog about all the other things that people think/read/hear/ponder about with the hopes of providing the true story (aka the scientifically accurate story). Patrick is Teaching, researching, counseling, educating, and living "All Things Nutritious" every day of his life.

No diet is perfect, but I do believe different diets can have different impacts on your health.
